"Loss of the Man" was a first-season fic dealing with the episode "Sandoval's Run". In fact, it's DeeDee's perspective on the last part of that episode.

I am, as I think I've said before, a DeeDee/Sandoval 'shipper. This was my attempt to get a feel for DeeDee.
