A little archive

"Not A Waste" is one of several Earth: Final Conflict crossovers I wrote with Power Rangers. It's entirely different in universe from "Shuttle Troubles", and a bit darker. I'm not sure I like it too much, but it and its predecessor (it's a sequel) are notable because they feature Wes married to Katie.

A long time ago, there was a board called PhilosophySphere. It was especially for Earth: Final Conflict fans, or mostly for same. And we wrote fanfic. Tons of fanfic.

Anyway, someone put in a challenge to write a Earth: Final Conflict/Power Rangers crossover. And not just any incarnation of PR, but the original, MMPR. I took them up on that challenge.

This was the result. It's season one MMPR, and Liam is almost more a guest star than this being a true crossover. I tried to make it readable to both fandoms, and I think I largely succeeded. I was amazed at the time, and am still amazed, that I managed to write the MMPR characters decently.

For MMPR, this is set after the "Green With Evil" miniseries, and for E:FC, this occurs after "Dimensions" (with spoilers for same).

It's pretty much PG/8+ rated. This is Power Rangers, after all.
