Mother's Day

Tessa woke up one morning to the scent of flowers.
Tensing up, she slid out of bed. Duncan wasn't there, and Richie was gone for the weekend. She carefully edged out of her bedroom towards the living room, hoping that whoever had been there was gone now.
The workshop was full of flowers, as was the living room and kitchen. She found a pair of gloves and examined each one. None of them had cards except the one on the living room table. She carefully opened the card and read it.
"Happy Mother's Day. Love Richie."
She smiled.
