I feel strange starting this off on a fairly recent piece.
Anyway, "Traitorous Jewelry" was the first of my "Discovering the Sun" side fics, which focus on what's going on in the storyline. So far, all of them have focused on Tadokoro, Kagami's supervisor/superior.
The intention on this fic was to explore what was behind the scenes. I was a bit frustrated by the fact that I had so much stuff going on, and very little that could be shown in-fic (except in a subtle manner). This allowed me to show why Kagami is the way he is in there, even though he doesn't appear in the fic.
Note: This spoils parts of "Discovering the Sun" as well as late Kabuto episodes.
